Key Responsibilities

  • Implement the Hotel’s requisition, purchasing and store keeping policies and procedures to ensure that smooth operations of the stores is maintained at all times
  • To ensure the Hotel’s security instructions and regulations are observed at all times in accordance with the company policy and procedures
  • Record on a daily, weekly and monthly basis all items of stock which have been signed out of the stores for use by the department.
  • Ensure a tracking system is implemented to monitor par stock levels and that fast-moving and slow-moving items are recorded to enable the stores department to operate efficiently at all times.
  • To ensure all log books, record sheets and diary of events are correctly completed and kept up to date prior to finishing the shift.
  • Liaise with the hotel’s purchasing department and the engineering suppliers to ensure the efficient ordering and receiving of inventory items or outsourced maintenance services.
  • Assist the hotel’s purchasing department with sourcing suppliers and obtain quotations for engineering supplies or outsourced maintenance services
  • Constantly strive to reduce costs for the department without reducing the quality of service, or impacting guest satisfaction in any way.
  • Monitor and report on the progress of any plans or ideas implemented to reduce the department’s wastage of resources.
  • Monitor and make recommendations to the department’s management, on any alternations to par stock levels or improvements to the stores policies and procedures that will reduce operational costs and make the department more efficient.
  • Report any urgent matters or irregularities to the management.


What We’re Looking For

  • Minimum 2 to 4 years’ experience as a Storekeeper in the Hotel Industry
  • Can communicate in a clear and consistent manner regarding departmental goals in order to produce desired results.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • An exquisite individual with a dedication to excellence and creating positive working relationships.
  • A trusted colleague who maintains confidentiality and upholds safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Unwavering commitment to enterprise goals
  • An ability to identify and monitor market needs and trends to stay ahead of the curve
  • Active participation in the effective implementation and administration of company-wide policies, procedures, and practices
  • Fluency in English is essential.
  • Arabic, and other additional international languages, preferred.
  • A winning attitude and ongoing enthusiasm for all duties requested by management.
